Gambia on Course to Meeting Season’s Target of Over 200, 000 Tourists

Since the official commencement of the tourism season in October The Gambia has continued to receive more tourists, with the number inching towards the target of over 200, 000 for this season. The latest mass arrivals happened on Friday, November 1st, when three different tourist flights landed at Banjul International Airport—Corendon from Holland, with 197 passengers on board; then Rainbow, with 183 passengers from Poland; and TUI, with 182 passengers from the United Kingdom, totaling 562 tourists. The tourism authorities are upbeat about that this year’s tourist season will be one of the best; especially for the fact that the Scandinavians have returned to Destination Gambia after a long absence.
