In September 2023, the business received a grant of GMD 43,000 to purchase two essential sewing machines: a design machine and an overlock machine. This funding has been crucial in upgrading the quality of their products. “These two items have really helped to transform my business to meet international standards,” Mariama Jammeh explains. The new equipment has not only improved the efficiency and quality of their tailoring services but also allowed them to take on more complex and diverse projects.
Looking ahead, Mariama Jammeh of Him and Her Fashion envisions the business becoming a household name in The Gambia and beyond. “The coaching and support given to us is enormous,” she says, expressing her gratitude for the continuous guidance from the SheTrades Hub.
