The Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MOHERST), Professor Pierre Gomez, has been invited to participate in the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Forum at Harvard University, in the United States of America (USA). The 4-day forum began on Friday, September 15th.
The Harvard Ministerial Leadership Forum is a flagship programme launched in 2012. It is a joint initiative of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The Programme engages finance, health, education and other relevant social sector ministers from Africa, South East Asia and Latin America with the goal of enhancing ministerial leadership and promoting cross-sectoral collaboration in prioritising human development investment goals for sustainable economic growth.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to Harvard University and the US Embassy in The Gambia for funding the programme, and availing this vital learning opportunity and recognition to Minister
