ChildFund The Gambia in partnership with MAP International, a US based humanitarian organization, on Monday, June 20th extended magnanimity to the Ministry of Health in the form of a 40ft container loaded with medical items. The presentation was held at the Central Medical Store in Kotu.
The items are earmarked to complement the Ministry of Health’s effort in providing quality and affordablehealth services to all.
Presenting the items, Omar Gaye the Human Resource and Admin officer at Childfund The Gambia, said these items came from a discussion with the Ministry of Health. He added that this initiative is part of their corporate social responsibility, and that Childfund is committed to complementing government’s efforts in the health sector.
On receiving the items, Fatou Samateh, Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services at the Ministry of Health, thanked Childfund for complementing government’s efforts in making the much needed medical equipment available to health facilities.
She assured them that the items will be distributed to the intended people while urging other partners to emulate Childfund.
