On Monday, 2nd September 2024, the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, welcomed the newly appointed Director General of The Gambia’s Drug Law Enforcement Agency at his office at State House.
During the introductory meeting, the Director General, Mr Demba Ceesay, provided an overview of the agency’s ongoing transformation programmes, discussed the challenges faced, and outlined the path forward. A key focus of their discussion was the need for collaborative efforts to tackle drug-related issues within Gambian communities and along the country’s borders.
The Director General also sought the Vice President’s guidance, who in turn assured him of the government’s unwavering support in these efforts.
