The Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mohammed B.S Jallow over the weekend left for the Senegalese capital Dakar, for a two-day working visit, in which he met with Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko for some bilateral exercise. The visit highlights The Gambia’s commitment to strengthening the long-standing fraternal ties and cooperation between the two sister countries. The two respected statesmen held talks around deepening cooperation in various areas of mutual interests while acknowledging the shared values and historical connections. The Vice President and delegation will also meet with the Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The Gambia and Senegal are inextricably linked by history, geography, culture and common development concerns.
