Qatar Throws Weight Behind Gambia’s Preparation for OIC Banjul Summit

The ambassador of the state of Qatar to The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al-Kuwari, has conveyed the Gulf nation’s unwavering support to The Gambia Government, as The Gambia prepares to host the 15th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit later this year.

HE Al-Kuwari affirmed this commitment during his recent visit to the Office of the Vice President, where he held talks with His Excellency Mohammed B.S Jallow.

The two dignitaries discussed The Gambia’s level of preparedness for the Banjul summit in May. Al-Kuwari emphasised the importance of collaboration and solidarity within the Islamic community.

During the introductory meeting, assurances of mutual support were exchanged between Ambassador Al-Kuwari and Vice President Jallow, underscoring the importance of strengthening ties between Qatar and The Gambia.

As the preparations for the OIC summit progress, this diplomatic interaction signifies the commitment of both nations to fostering cooperation and partnership on the international stage.
