MoBSE Urges Public to Ignore Wrong Information about Re-opening of Schools

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) in a press release, has stated that it has come to its knowledge that certain unscrupulous individuals are circulating wrong information that schools are to re-open Monday, 8th June, 2020 as contrary to information in Government’s press release on the relaxation of State of Emergency Restrictions. In that press release, the government spokesperson has clearly indicated that the date for the re-opening of schools would be announced later by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

According the Ministry, it takes this matter very seriously and therefore wishes to warn all those that are engaged in circulating such wrong information to desist from it, as there is no date fixed yet for schools re-opening.

“The Ministry is hereby urging the public to ignore such information being circulated in the social media, and to wait for the official announcement of the exact date for the re-opening of schools in general and any examination schedule in particular. Once obtained, that information will be circulated to the various media in the country,” the release concludes.
