The Government of The Gambia, through the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency has financing towards the cost of Food commodities for COVID-19 Emergency Food Support to vulnerable Gambian Citizens. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for the procurement and distribution of 230,000 bags of 50kg of 100% broken rice (in lots of 10,000 bags), 230,000 bags of 50kg sugar (in lots of 10,000 bags), and 148,000 10 liter drums of refined cooking oil (in lots of 5,000 drums).
This Ministry now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to participate as a Bidder in the Tender described herein for the supply of RICE, SUGAR AND OIL in different lots. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract contained in the bid documents comply with the Gambia Public Procurement Authority Standard Bidding Document for the Procurement of Goods. Preference will be given to Gambian SMEs who have demonstrated the capacity to deliver. Gambian Female entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.
Evaluation award shall be based on price, acceptance of payment terms and evidence of capacity to deliver within one week of award. Payment terms are 100% after successful delivery and all delivery should be in Banjul. All bids must be submitted on or before 12:00PM BANJUL TIME (GMT) ON FRIDAY 24TH APRIL 2020 at the following address: Office of The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment Independence Drive Banjul.
Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 12:30 PM ON FRIDAY, 24TH APRIL 2020 AT THE CONFERENCE ROOM of The Ministry.
