The executive members of the National Aids Secretariat (NAS) on Monday, 2nd September, 2024 made a courtesy call on the Vice President of The Gambia at State House.
During the meeting, NAS Director Alpha Khan emphasised the Secretariat’s obligation, as mandated by an Act of Parliament, to regularly update the Executive through the Office of the Vice President.
Khan expressed satisfaction with the reception and highlighted the Secretariat’s progress, particularly in scaling up treatment centres across the country. He also encouraged all Gambians to undergo voluntary HIV testing, assuring that those who test positive will be provided with immediate treatment.
