Minister Jobe Hails Student Exchange Programme as Vital Bilateral Tool for Gambia, Senegal

While speaking to some visiting Senegalese students, Honourable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister of Tourism and Culture, described the cordial relationship between The Gambia and Senegal as unique in Africa, and that it should be cherished by the people of the two countries. 
The students, who are residing at a local Hotel in Kololi, are in The Gambia for a summer holiday break, known as Coloniesde Vacances.
The Minister took the opportunity on behalf of the government and people of The Gambia to welcome the students to The Gambia and expressed delight for their choice of spending their holiday break in The Gambia.
 “These student exchange visits between the two countries have been happening over the years and are meant to forge good relationships between The Gambia and Senegal and also a learning point for the students,” he stated.
He assured that his Ministry and other key stakeholders will continue to work together for the development of the tourism sector at all levels.
Abubacarr S. Camara, Director General of The Gambia Tourism Board; and Mr. Batch Samba Faye, Chairman, Board of Directors of The Gambia Tourism Board, made similar remarks.
At the end of the Minister’s visit, some foodstuff; such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bags of onions were presented to the visiting students.
