GFF Women’s Football gets New Coordinator, Assistant

The Gambia Football Federation is delighted to announce the appointments of Ms Philomena Jatta as GFF Women’s Football Coordinator and Safeguarding Officer, and Ms Angelick S Mendy as GFF Assistant Women’s Football Coordinator respectively.
Following advertisement for the two vacant positions to be filled, both Philomena and Angelick became the most qualified and successful candidates after going through a rigorous recruitment process.
Ms Philomena Jatta holds a BSC in political science from the University of The Gambia, HTC and PTC certificates from the Gambia College and is a teacher at Mingdaw Upper and Senior Secondary School in Farato. A former national team goalkeeper with a good stint at Brikama United at the domestic league, she holds a D-license coaching certificate and participated in the FIFA/CAF Women’s administrative course held in The Gambia.
Ms Angelick S Mendy appointed as GFF Assistant Women’s football Coordinator is a teacher by profession at New Yundum Upper Basic School with HTC and PTC certificates from The Gambia College and WASSCE credentials. She was a former sports minister at the Gambia College from 2018-2019 and also played for Brikama United female team, Company Ten FC and Jam City in GFF Women’s competition.
The two appointees will effect work at the GFF on Thursday 1st August 2024.
