In our attempt to migrate to the digital registration system of players and officials for our competitions, The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), will from next season implement the aforesaid system.
They said registration will be done through the Football House’s version of the FIFA Connect platform. The system will affect both clubs in the first and second division leagues across the both genders for the 2024/25 season.
The FIFA Connect Program is a digital registration platform developed by the football world governing body that is aimed at helping its Member Associations to register all their stakeholders in a systematic way and keep track of players, coaches and referees – wherever they are in the world. While using this system, it provides a unique FIFA ID code for every individual who has a role in the football organisation.
As this migration will take effect ahead of the upcoming season, training of the team administrators in the implementation of this system is a sine qua non. Thus, in this regard, a training on the usage of the System will be held on 20th September 2024.
“Clubs are further reminded to gather all the necessary documentation of their players and officials for a smooth registration process,” the GFF’s Competition Department said in a statement sent to its league clubs recently.
