The Honourable Minister of Defence H.E Sering Modou Njie last week received in audience the Sudanese delegation comprising of General Muhammed Ornasser and Dr Hasseb KUKU.
The delegation was in the country to express appreciation for The Gambia’s support to Sudan’s bid to host a UN Human Rights Centre in Khartoun.
The centre deals with issues surrounding International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and helps the Sudanese Armed Forces to abide by the rules of engagements and the principles of IHL.
Amongst other issues discussed during the meeting were, to strengthen the mutual cooperation between the two countries, establish strong partnership in defence and expand in military cooperation between the two armed forces.
