Dancehall Artist Kalilu Singhateh Shares Inspiration with Gambia Daily Entertainment

Kalilu singhateh, who goes by his artist name Sundiata, a dancehall artist, had a chit chat with Gambia Daily Life & Entertainment during which he shared his inspiration of becoming a musician. “ I love music since I was a little boy; the inspiration came  from ‘Grad’. He motivated me into music but also growing up as a young boy I have been motivated by many artists from Gambia  and Jamaica; artists like Banjim, ST, Alkaline and Busy Signal are notable. I believed that my mission in music is different because am doing music with purpose. I consider myself as the voice for the voiceless. I want stand for the poor people in the streets and for those who are not fit to  stand for themselves,” he stated.
Sundiata said he does music for entertainment but also educating people and to bring love and unity among people.
The young dancehall artist revealed that he started his music career in 2016. He said that in 2017 ST approached him and signed him under his label Kobakono.“My songs were   “Tapala” ; “dekabi” and “takmatak “. I released my first album  in 2021  called the truth album. This year I launched my EP called new chapter. I am currently working on the videos and to publish it in digital market” he revealed. 
On the challenges, he said they are meant to be encountered in life, saying life without challenges and setback is meaningless. “I faced lot of challenges because in the Gambia when you are doing music or you are talented in something you see people fighting you, “he charged. 
The artist advised his fellow artists to be themselves and not blame anybody in their career and work hard.
