ARINWA Seeks Establishment of Asset Recovery Agency in Gambia

Recovery Inter-Agency Network for West Africa (ARINWA) on Friday, November 24th paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed B.S Jallow at his office, where they discussed some asset recovery initiatives. 

During the meeting, representatives, highlighted ARINWA’s activities, advocated the establishment of an asset recovery agency in The Gambia.

In response, the Vice President affirmed The Gambia Government’s support, highlighting President Adama Barrow’s active leadership in realising this objective.

The delegation was accompanied to the Vice Presidency by Mr. Lamin J. Gassama, Director of Intelligence and International Cooperation at the Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

ARINWA is an informal network for information exchange on asset recovery, confiscation and money laundering in West Africa.
