The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare and its development partners will be commemorating the ‘16 days of Activism’ from November 25 to December10 2024. Commemorated annually, ‘16 days of Activism’ is an international campaign aimed at ending violence against women and girls. The campaign emphasises the connection between gender-based violence and human rights. The national theme for this year’s commemoration is, ‘From awareness to Action! Uniting Communities to End Gender Based Violence in The Gambia’.
