From Monday 25thto Friday, 29th April 2022 the Calvary United Community Church (CUCC) will host free medical mission of the Global Health Organization (GHO) from USA. The mission comprising 33 medical personnel will be stationed at the Glory Baptist International School, opposite Malick Mendy Tailoring Limited near GNPC gas station, Bakau, Kanifing Municipality.
The five-day medical outreach will offer free treatment to people regardless of age, gender, socio-economic background.
Rev. Bidwell Mendy, the head of CUCC and coordinator of the humanitarian health care support in The Gambia recalled that in 2019 a medical team from GHO in USA treated at least 3000 people free of charge. This year, the team is expected to build on its previous experience in The Gambia by treating as many people as feasible.
