Following President Erdoğan’s visit, Ambassador meets VP Touray “to keep the momentum alive”

The new ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to The Gambia, His Excellency TolgaBermek, on Tuesday, February 4th met with Her Excellency Vice President Dr. IsatouTourayto discuss means of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well build on the yields of His Excellency President Erdogan’s historic visit to the country.

“It has been one month since I arrived in The Gambia. I was lucky few weeks after my arrival to The Gambia our President RecepTayyip Erdogan visited the Gambia. This was a very historic visit because that was the first visit at the presidential level to the Gambia from Turkey”.

He said their President’s visit to the Gambia would open new opportunity for the future of the two countries’ relations and that he wishes to keep that momentum alive.

Further on President Erdogan’s visit, Ambassador Bermek saidit is important because the President was accompanied with a large number of businesses people and five ministers who were here to bring about business opportunities.

He disclosed that he had expressed to VP DrTouray his desire to further strengthen the trade relation of the two countries and that they also talked about the OIC project.
