Chad Seeks Gambia Support in Bid to Host Africa Investment Forum - Envoy Meets President Barrow

His Excellency President Adama Barrow on Friday, 1st April received Mr. Mahamat Digadimbaye, adviser to the Prime Minister of Chad.

The envoy to the Chadian president was accompanied to State House by Mr. Beramgoto Singabe, Chad’s legal adviser to the envoy, and Mr MomodouTangara Gambian Foreign Affairs minister.

 

Speaking to The Gambian media right after his meeting with President Barrow,  Mr Mahamat Digadimbaye noted the long standing friendship between The Gambia and Chad and said he was here to deliver a message from President Muhamad Edrris David of Chad to President Adama Barrow of The Gambia. The message, he affirmed is about the Investment Forum for Africa.

He explained that the President of Chad had notified the Secretariat of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) of the candidature of Chad as Secretary General of OIC and as host to the important forum of Africa Investment Forum.

Mr Mahamat Digadimbaye further affirmed that this was the reason Chad decided to send an envoy to The Gambia for the support its bid host the investment forum.

He said President Barrow has expressed his appreciation and willingness to support Chad in the process.
