We are reeling from the shocking news of the passing of our dear former colleague, Fatou Samba, a renowned Gambian journalist and TV personality. She was said to have been found unresponsive on the morning of Saturday, May 31st, 2025.
More than just a colleague, Fatou was a source of light to those fortunate enough to work alongside her. Her laughter, soft, sincere, and ever-present posture could brighten even the most stressful days.
Fatou believed deeply in the power of information to improve lives and strengthen communities. That belief guided her daily work and was evident in every task she undertook. She gave generously of her time and expertise, never seeking recognition, always focused on making a meaningful difference.
She will be sorely missed, not just by us but also by the whole country, for Fatou has touched lives across the nation.
We wish to extend our condolences to her Family and the entire media fraternity, where she has left a huge void.
We pray that Almighty forgives her shortcomings and grants her Jannah.
