The Sierra Leone High Commissioner to The Gambia, Her Excellency Martha Consilia Kanagbo paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, Hon. Baboucarr O. Joof at his office in Banjul.
During the meeting, senior officials from both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties between Sierra Leone and The Gambia.
The High Commissioner highlighted the numerous trade opportunities existing between the two countries and referenced the trade agreement signed in 2021 by the respective Trade ministries. They emphasised the importance of increased engagement between the two ministries to ensure the effective implementation of this agreement and to unlock mutual economic benefits.
Minister Joof commended the High Commissioner for the visit and assured his commitment to working closely with the High Commission to foster stronger economic ties and realise shared development goals. He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a vibrant trade relationship that will contribute to the development and prosperity of both nations.
