The Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia (SJAG) visited the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Bakary Y. Badjie, at his Banjul office. The courtesy call aimed to enhance collaboration between the Ministry and the association, with a focus on advancing sports journalism in the country.
Welcoming the delegation, Minister Badjie underscored the crucial role of the media in promoting youth and sports development. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to partnering with stakeholders like SJAG to ensure the continued growth of sports coverage in The Gambia.
The meeting also provided a platform to discuss strategies for strengthening the working relationship between the Ministry and SJAG.
Omar Jarju, President of SJAG, expressed appreciation for the Minister’s time and emphasised the association’s dedication to covering the Ministry’s activities and supporting the promotion of sports across The Gambia.
