The Ministry of Public Service has informed all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), as well as the general public, that the first phase of the nationwide Civil Service and Pensioner Verification Exercise will officially end on Saturday, 18th April 2026, according to a press release from the Office of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Public Service (MoPS).
The Ministry further announced that the second phase of the verification exercise will be conducted from 20th to 24th April 2026 across the country.
It added that this second phase, which also marks the final opportunity under the exercise, is intended to allow civil servants and pensioners who were unable to participate in the first phase—particularly due to incomplete documentation and other related challenges—to complete their verification.
During this period, verification teams will be deployed across designated locations, including the Personnel Management Office (PMO) at Quadrangle; Regional Education Directorate One in Kanifing; Regional Education Directorate Two West in Brikama, opposite Gambia College; Regional Education Directorate Two East in Sibanor; Regional Education Directorate Three in Kerewan; Regional Education Directorate Four in Mansakonko; Regional Education Directorate Five North in Wassu; Regional Education Directorate Five South in Janjangbureh; and Regional Education Directorate Six in Basse.
The Ministry is appealing to all civil servants and pensioners who missed the first phase to take advantage of this final opportunity to complete their verification by visiting the designated centres.
Additionally, heads of MDAs are strongly encouraged to advise staff currently overseas to complete the self-service verification through the online portal.
The Ministry noted that a significant number of officers are yet to complete the process and reiterated that the deadline for the online self-service verification is 24th April 2026. It urged all concerned individuals to comply within the stipulated timeframe.
