Noo Kunda Islamic School Receives Furniture Support

Mr Nuha Dampha and Fataje Fulan Kafo, along with the Peer Groups of Noo Kunda in Upper Badibou, in North Bank Region, recently donated 14 combined tables and chairs to the Noo Kunda Islamic School, worth D35,000.

The donated materials are intended to facilitate learning and teaching, as well as complement the community Islamic school’s efforts to enhance the community’s response to Arabic and Islamic education.

Mr. Nuha Dampha, President of the Association, stated that the move aims to promote unity and cooperation among peers to enhance mutual understanding and support. He seized the opportunity to call on development partners to assist the community in completing the school.

Mr Modou Jadama of Noo Kunda described Quranic education as an important pillar in promoting teaching and learning. He added that the peer group calls for enhanced, all-inclusive education and commitment to the development of society.

“The school would inculcate good moral values among children to effectively contribute to societal development,” he noted.

Ansumana Dibba, an Adviser, reiterated the importance attached to the teaching and learning of the holy Quran and hadith. Dibba used the moment to thank the community and members for their foresight in resource mobilization, noting that the support to the school would enhance and promote learning and teaching in a more conducive environment.

Siaka Marong, Treasurer, called on members to support the resource mobilization efforts, with the view to contributing to community services. Marong reiterated the need for development partners to support and strengthen humanitarian services.
