Hon. Hamat Bah, Minister of Lands, Regional Government, and Religious Affairs, has praised the significant improvements in basic services across the country, noting that long-standing water shortages have now been largely addressed. “During this tour, 90% of communities did not raise water as a concern.”  He also added that maternal deaths have reduced because hospitals are everywhere providing the much-needed healthcare services.

Minister Bah urged young people to priorities skills acquisition, stressing that Social media cannot build homes or give money but skills can.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sabally announced plans for a solar-powered irrigation project in Kaducku village, aimed at enabling year-round rice production.

National Assembly Member Hon. Amie Kolley appealed for support to upgrade Bulock’s Madarassa to Grade 12, while Lady Councillor Rohie Bojang expressed appreciation for recent electrification projects. She further called for assistance to fence women’s gardens and called for increased women’s representation in the National Assembly.

NPP Constituency Chairman Omar Drammeh described the government’s development efforts as unprecedented, highlighting the D90 million investment in books for schools.

Communities along the tour route turned out in large numbers to welcome the President, expressing appreciation for what many described as transformative infrastructure projects expected to enhance mobility, trade, and access to essential services.
