In a significant display of diplomatic goodwill, the German Ambassador to The Gambia, H.E. Klaus Botzet, on Thursday, 5th June, paid a courtesy visit to Vice President H.E. Mohammed B.S. Jallow at the State House in Banjul earlier today.
The visit reaffirmed the enduring ties between The Gambia and the Federal Republic of Germany, with both parties expressing commitment to deepening cooperation across several key sectors. Discussions during the meeting centered on expanding bilateral relations, strengthening economic partnerships, and promoting peace and security.
Ambassador Botzet lauded The Gambia’s recent strides in governance and national development, emphasizing Germany’s readiness to support the country’s aspirations. He reiterated his country’s interest in fostering collaboration in areas crucial to long-term growth and regional stability.
Vice President Jallow, in turn, welcomed the Ambassador and expressed appreciation for Germany’s continued engagement with The Gambia. He acknowledged the historical relationship between the two nations and highlighted the government’s openness to further dialogue and cooperation.
The meeting concluded on a note of mutual optimism, with both leaders pledging to build on the momentum of their partnership in pursuit of sustainable development and peace.
