Gambia Amputee Football Team

The Gambia Amputee Football Team is transforming the landscape of disability in the country by uniting amputees and establishing a football association that proudly represents The Gambia in the Africa Amputee Cup of Nations. 
Their remarkable performance in Egypt showcased their dedication and spirit, as they raised the Gambian national flag high, earning respect and admiration.
Amputee players have consistently contributed to their communities and played a vital role in national development. Their determination and resilience serve as an inspiration to many, proving that they can excel in various aspects of life.
Furthermore, the team has produced several professional players currently pursuing their careers in Turkey, exemplifying the potential and talent within the squad.
However, the team needs more support and attention to thrive. They firmly believe that disability is not a limitation but rather a different ability. With the proper support they deserve, they are confident they can change the perception of disability in The Gambia and make a significant impact.

 Tournament Summary: Egypt!
During the recent tournament held in Egypt, several players made notable contributions, with Ebrima Jallow being recognized as the Man of the Match on two occasions. His exceptional performance helped elevate his team’s status during the competition. Additionally, Ousman Jatta also shined, earning the title of Man of the Match once.
The tournament showcased the competitive spirit of the teams, with African rankings placing the participating teams at number 9 overall, while within West Africa, they proudly ranked number 3. This reflects the growing talent and potential of teams in the region, promising an exciting future for West African football.
They will also take pathe in the upcoming hero’s night award  2025.
