Flex Fuzion Dance Academy has brought pride and visibility to The Gambia after four of its young dancers delivered an exceptional performance at the World Federation of Acrobatic and Dance Sports World Cup, held on 23 November 2025 at the Irina Viner Palace in Moscow, Russia.
The team comprising Mariama Camara, Kaddijatou Baldeh, Sanjaku Kamara, and Daniel Taylor, and led by Coach Yasai Joof competed against elite dancers representing 30 countries. Their outstanding display earned them a 6th-place world ranking and two trophies, positioning The Gambia as the highest-performing African nation, ahead of Senegal.
This breakthrough marks a historic milestone for Flex Fuzion and significantly advances The Gambia’s profile in international dance sport. The academy credited the achievement to the dedication and discipline of the dancers, the leadership of Coach Joof, and the contribution of their international coaching partners.
Ndey Fatou Jabang, Chief Executive and Creative Director of Flex Fuzion Dance Academy, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Russian Consul in The Gambia, Hon. Lamin Manga, alongside all partners whose support made the team’s participation possible. She urged continued collaboration from stakeholders to expand opportunities for young Gambians, strengthen cultural exchange, and build sustainable careers within the creative industry.
