His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, the Vice President on Friday, 23rd May received a delegation from the Cornerstone Group at the State House in Banjul. The purpose of the meeting was to present a comprehensive proposal to refurbish and properly manage the government-owned properties at the AU Villas in Brufut.
During the presentation, the Cornerstone team shared findings from their independent assessment, highlighting the need for significant refurbishment and sustainable property management practices.
Olimatou Damel Taal, President of the Cornerstone Group, expressed her commitment to partnering with the government to ensure the Villas are maintained to a high standard. She also thanked the Vice President for his support and encouragement toward the initiative.
In his remarks, VP Jallow emphasised the government’s dedication to the proper upkeep and maintenance of public assets.
As the custodian of government properties, he said his office is keen on exploring partnerships that align with national interests and long-term sustainability.
