Banjul is set to take centre stage in African volleyball as it prepares to host the Zone II Men’s Volleyball Qualifiers for the upcoming CAVB Men’s Nations Cup, scheduled to take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, in September 2026.

The qualifiers will run from June 17 to 21, 2026.

The tournament will bring together countries from across the West African bloc, all competing for a single coveted slot at the continental championship. For The Gambia, the event presents a valuable opportunity to compete on home soil while also showcasing its growing capacity to host international sporting competitions.

As anticipation builds, attention now turns to Banjul, where regional pride, ambition, and a place at the CAVB Men’s Nations Cup will be at stake.
